HISTORY
İdris Hatipoğlu , founder of Hatipoğlu company, started trade in glass sector in 1965. In those years he was selling glass in Eskişehir which were imported from the United States and the United Kingdom because there weren’t any glass factories in Turkey during that time.
After a while Türkiye Şişecam glass factory was established in Turkey and İdris Hatipoğlu had a partnership in order to run his business as a glass distributor. He expanded his business with the 2nd warehouse that opened in Bursa. Until 1985 he continued his business as a glass distributor that also distributed car glass.
In 1985 when the insulating glass sector was growing in Turkey İdris Hatipoğlu established the 2nd insulating glass factory in Turkey with his son İsmail Hatipoğlu. This was just the beginning of his activities in this industry.
Between 1985 and 2000 Hatipoğlu insulated glass was chosen and used in many different, prestigious and big projects.
In 1995, the technical requirements of building materials were increasing in Turkey, therefore, investment decisions had to be taken and started to operate for the door and window profile production with the brand, Europen, in 1997.
After Europen started its operation; plate, panel, door, window production facilities started their activities and In the glass sector refrigator glass , oven glass and furniture glass production facilities were put into operation.
By the year 2020 Europen has become one of the largest industrial companies in Turkey with 1550 employees and five production facilities.
